Veterinary Anaesthesia Consultancy Services
In-house Anaesthesia Training
🐾 Tailored veterinary anaesthesia training for veterinarians, veterinary nurses and veterinary technicians is available to clinics across New Zealand and Australia, delivered in person or online. Each session is designed around your team’s experience, equipment, protocols and clinical priorities.
🐾 Training can include tutorials, practical workshops and hands-on, case-based instruction to build knowledge and confidence across the whole clinical team.
⚐ For veterinary nurses and technicians, NZVNA-accredited talks and training attract 1 CPD point per hour and are also eligible toward AVNAT CPD requirements in Australia.
🐾 As a RECOVER Certified Instructor, Marcia can also provide basic and advanced veterinary CPR and life-support training through workshops or RECOVER certification courses.
Veterinary Anaesthesia Consultations
🐾 Veterinarians can book a phone consultation with Marcia to discuss a challenging upcoming anaesthetic case and gain practical support with anaesthesia planning. A written consultation report can be provided, and Marcia may also be available during the case for additional support.
🐾 Consultations draw on Marcia’s more than 20 years of clinical and teaching experience in veterinary anaesthesia and her specialist knowledge as a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
Guidance is provided in Marcia’s capacity as a Veterinary Technician Specialist, not as a veterinarian. All clinical decisions for the patient, including drug selection and dosing, remain the responsibility of the supervising veterinarian.
Clinical Anaesthesia Evaluations
🐾 In-clinic anaesthesia evaluations are available to veterinary practices. Working with veterinarians, veterinary nurses and veterinary technicians, Marcia can review monitoring equipment, anaesthesia machines and breathing systems, drug protocols, workflow and team practices.
🐾 Following the evaluation, the clinic receives a practical report highlighting current strengths, opportunities for improvement and prioritised recommendations to support safer, more consistent anaesthesia care.
